Weinacht Laterne Walk

Some German/Austrian friends had a bunch of other german speaking folks with kids over and the kids all made small paper lanterns and walked around at night on a lantern walk (sorta singing a few german xmas songs), the boys had alot of fun

Eastside Park/Movie Night

A few pictures of the boys at Eastside park with Charlie, Quinn found an old rattie hat we bought for Kieran as a joke with a raccoon tail and he wore it all day long. Another picture of the boys lounging with some popcorn watching a movie

Safari West

Went to Safari West today, it is like a small scale wild animal park here in Sonoma.

Weekend

Painted the room the kids will be moving to soon, they had fun helping and getting paint everywhere. Went up to the park at the top of the street so Charlie could swim in the ponds and they could throw rocks. Quinn has been carrying his Halloween bag everywhere with his prized possessions, this weekend it included:
- an old toy matchbox truck
- a piece of string cheese
- a old golf ball
- a piece of lemonhead candy

I think he is still under the impression that he may land some more candy if he is carrying it

Halloween 2009

We went around the neighborhood wit the boys trick or treating. Quinn was a little hesitant at first and would only go up to the door with Kieran, but after the first few houses and when he realized he was getting candy at each house, he couldn't be stopped. After about 30 minutes Kieran was getting tired and wanted to go home, but Quinn was still running from house to house. We ended up carrying Kieran home while Quinn kept running from house to house all the way home. His bag got too heavy for him but didn't want to have anyone else carry it. As you can see from this picture, when he got home he was worn out and sweaty from running everywhere but was just amazed with all of his candy.

Halloween Party

Went to a Halloween party for the kids at the Y, they had a really good time playing the games and going through a haunted house. They both really like their costumes

Fall '09

Here are some pics from the weekend. Quinn found out the hard way the inside of the pumpkin doesn't taste too good. Spent the afternoon carving pumpkins, raking leaves and making carmel apples

Cut

Here is a picture of Kieran's cut head. this picture looks about 100X better than it did before it was closed (it was about 1/4 the width of the length before they closed it). The doctor said it was hard to be able to predict how much it would scar but we will have to keep heavy sunblock on it for the next year or so. I guess the lesson learned is to keep the samuri sword off the floor.

Pumpkin Patch '09

Went to a pumpkin patch today, kids had a really good time. There was a tractor ride, sunflower maze and they got to milk a cow.
