Casey/Sarah/Ellie/Killan visited for a few days and Kieran and Quinn had a blast. Kieran followed Ellie and Killan around nonstop. Kieran had a nice 2d birthday, a little overwhelmed but a good time nonetheless

Hot air balloon festival and Duncans Mill

Last weekend we went to the hot air festival here in town. Unfortunately it was really foggy that morning so there was limited flights, Kieran loved the balloons anyway though. Yesterday we went to the "ducky derby" in Duncan's mill which is a festival to support the redwoods with rubber duck races. Kieran and Quinn had fun hanging out, the weather was great

Quinn sleeping, he stays awake alo more nowadays during the day and is sleeping a little better at night.

Kieran and Charlie playing outside, they play chase quite a bit together and have a good time together eating random things in the backyard, I don't know which of the two has more disgusting things in their mouth at any time.

It got really quiet yesterday afternoon, when Jennifer came to see what the silence was about, she discovered Kieran had opened the food pantry and found the chocolate sauce, he then got a cup out and tried to make chocolate milk (without the milk), needless to say, it caused a mess

July

It has been pretty hot out here lately, we have had the AC on and the fans going to keep cool. Quinn has been alot more active the past week or so, looking around alot more and staying awake much more during the day. The last day Erin was here we went to the discovery museum near the city and Kieran got to play in a cowboy camp, here he is trying to ride the horse

June

Erin came up and stayed for a week, it was a great help to have her around playing with Kieran and helping with Quinn. Quinn is starting to stay awake more but still sleeps much more than Kieran did (but his actual due date was just last Friday). Erin and I brought Kieran to see his first real movie (Ratatouie), he had fun and watched most of it before he started to get ancy.

Fishing

Kieran has been on a kick the past few days where all he talks about is fishing. A few days back I made him a little pole from a stick and string and that is all he wants to play with. Yesterday we went out and got him a cheap little pole and box and went to the pond at the top of the street. Today that is all he talked about again, so we went back up again, we haven't even been using real hooks or lures, but Kieran is happy as can be letting me cast for him, then reeling the line in. He likes to carry all the gear up to the pond as well, he is a little character.

6 Days Old

Quinn is doing well, still watching his biliruben levels but besides that he is doing fine. He has the hiccups all the time and spends alot of time awake staring.

The hospital

Kieran had fun in the hospital but would get a little restless since there wasen't too much for him to do. Quinn spent most of the time fighting his jaundice and feeding. He had to have his foot checked out because it was swollen, he got pretty beat up during the delivery, but is doing fiune now. Jennifer is doing OK also, but because of the operation will be on very strict restrictions and won't be abe to do much at all for a few weeks. Quinn and Jennifer will be coming home today

Quinn Michael Skaalen

Was born on Friday June 8, 2007 at 2:20AM. He came three weeks early but still weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces. He had high biliruben levels which was leading to a alot of jaundice, so he had to stay in a special light emitting chamber to get his levels down.
