Pumpkin Patch '09

Went to a pumpkin patch today, kids had a really good time. There was a tractor ride, sunflower maze and they got to milk a cow. The woman who runs the place recognized them from last year b/c she had taken a picture of them and used it on her website http://ryanoshannanfarms.com/Ryan_OShannan/Activities.html

Here are some random pictures of the kids at the discovery museum. Fleet week was going on this weekend so there was an airshow over the bay they got to see while they were playing.

Quinn at the A's game

We all went down to watch the A's close out the season Saturday, on the way down we stopped in Petaluma to pick up Quinn's Halloween costume. Once he saw it, he immediatelywanted to put it on and didn't want to take it off, so he wore it to the game.

Bad Haircut

Kieran wanted me to give him a haircut this weekend with the electric clippers, as you may be able to tell, I did an OK job on the back and sides with the clippers, but Quinn would have done a better with the scissors cutting his bangs. It doesn't look to bad when it is "spiked" up in the front, and hopefully it doesn't take too long for it to grow back out.

Placerville- Gold Country

Spent the weekend in "gold country", stayed in a really cool old (and they say haunted) hotel called the cary house in Placerville that was the nicest place round during the gold rush. Mark Twain and a bunch of other famous folks stayed there back when the gold rush was on. There was a festival where the kids could pan for gold and gems and they had a great time exploring a mine. Really pretty up in the Sierra foothills

FairyTale Town- Sacramento

Kids spent the morning at Fairytale Town in Sacramento, they had a good time and Kieran actually knew a lot of the characters/etc. that were there. There were alot of slides and things to climb on that they both could play on.

Hiking Point Reyes

Went hiking at Point Reyes this weekend at the earthquake trail and at the coast and saw some elk. Kids had a good time running around and exhausting themselves

Sonoma County Fair 2009

Kieran's 4th Birthday

Kieran had his birthday party and had a great time. it was a "space" party, so they had little rockets to play with and decorated UFOs made of paper plates and whiffle balls. Jennifer made a cool planet cake that all the kids liked.
