Bodega Fish Fest

Kieran was in heaven at the Bodega Fisherman's Festival today. All his favourite things were there including fire engines, helicopters and boats. He got to see two helicopters land, play on the fire engines and step on a coast guard boat. He now says a lot more words, "boat" being one of his most used.

Easter Weekend II

Tory and Deedee came up for the weekend, we had a great time during the visit, we went to another easter egg hunt/brunch at a local winery, Kieran had a great time looking for the eggs throughout the vineyards. After brunch, we went over to the coast and hung out all afternoon enjoying the good weather, Kieran found some tree roots he could climb on and had a blast climbing on them

Easter Weekend

We had a really nice easter weekend, on Sat morning Kieran went to the town green and went on a easter egg hunt and had his face painted, he really liked the easter bunny and had to give it a hug before we left. On Sunday morning we went to a sunrise service at a house of one of the members of our church, a beautiful view over the vineyards.

Discovery Museum II

I could not get the blog to work for a while, but it is back. We went to th iscovery museum last weekend, Kieran had a great time exploring, he also likes to listen to our iPod, if I leave it laying around he will rab it, put the earphones on and hit the controls until music starts, then starts dancing

President's day Part II

Went to the park Monday morning, Kieran got to play and ride a small train, then went downtown to watch the bike race, Kieran loved all the people and booths, he got a cowbell to ring as the riders rode by. Ended the weekend going to a lake near the russian river where Charlie could swim and Kieran would run

President's day Part I

Had Monday off for President's day, we went to the Cloverdale Citrus fair on Saturday and watched the parade, Kieran had a great time watching everyone march by, even more fun helping clean up the horse crap. Spent most of the day Sunday at the russian river, met some folks whose dog played with Charlie until exhaustion, Kieran spent most of the time throwing rocks into the river and playing in their hammock. Also went to Spring lake where Kieran fought off flocks of geese trying to feed the ducks

Weekend Part II

On Sunday we went to the beach with Charlie. Kierna found a shelter someone had built out of driftwood and could not have been happier investigating around. He also spotted some rocks that the people had stacked up in a tower and worked to duplicate it with mixed results. There was a small grey whale playing in the surf for about 45 minutes right next to us, the beach must really drop off quickly because he was rolling in the waves that were breaking closest to the shore. There was another farther off the that we figured was its mother

Weekend Part I

Kieran enjoys walking out and "Zeitung Hollen" on Saturday Morning (Newspaper getting), after which he usually relaxes with his Panda watching Oobi or Little Einstein. Went to Downtown Santa Rosa to the bookstore and Kieran thouht the hand was pretty big.

Jack London Park/Valley of the Moon

We went to Jack London state park today in Glen Ellen and had a picnic. Kieran had a blast exploring around the ruins of Jack London's house that burned in ~1914. Charlie had a blst exploring for bits of food left around

Blind Beach

We went to the coast at Goat Rock state park, Charlie and Kieran had a great time exploring the tidepools and rocks, it was a really nice day, cool but far from cold. Charlie and Kieran were both pretty cautious around the water. When I threw the ball into the water Charlie would retrieve it but run out as fast as possible

Discovery Museum

Went to a kids museum for 1-8 year olds yesterday right next to the golden gate, Kieran had a great time running around exploring
